Balenciaga Shipyard delivers salmon processing ship for Norwegian operator

Balenciaga Shipyard of Spain recently delivered a newbuild transport and processing ship for farmed salmon.

Norwegian Gannet, which was ordered by Hav Line Vessel, set sail from Pasajes in Spain to its new home in Bergen on Saturday, November 10.

The 94- by 18-metre vessel has a gross displacement of 4,000 tonnes, a crew of 53, and a processing capacity of 150,000 tonnes per year on an average of 1,000 tonnes of salmon on each voyage.

Onboard amenities include lounges, a cinema, and a gym complete with sauna.
