Trefjar newbuild delivered to Fraserburgh owner

Trefjar has delivered a new lobster and crab boat to fisherman Gary Noble of Fraserburgh in northeastern Scotland.

Named Golden Dawn, the newbuild may also be used to fish for mackerel for part of the year.

The boat has a length of 10 metres, a beam of 3.6 metres, a displacement of 10 tonnes, fishroom capacity for 12 380-litre tubs, berths for three people, and a mess with galley.

One FPT C90 engine gives Golden Dawn a maximum speed in excess of 20 knots.
