Tersan delivers crab boat to Russian owners

Tersan Shipyard of Turkey has delivered a new Project ST184 steel-aluminium crab boat to Russian fishing company Arktikservis.

Designed jointly by Skipsteknisk and Russia’s Marine Engineering Bureau, Zenit has an LOA of 61.9 metres, a beam of 15 metres, a processing capacity of up to 40 tonnes per day, a freezer hold capacity of 1,150 cubic metres, a live crab tank capacity of 60 cubic metres, and a 2,555kW main engine.

The vessel is designed for catching opilio and Kamchatka crab in the North Atlantic, the Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea, and the Greenland Sea.
