Nordic Engineering and Russian crabbing company Dalryba will cooperate on the design on a new crab boat.

The agreement was signed at the Global Fishery Forum and Seafood Expo in Saint-Petersburg by Vitaly Gvozdev, Director General of Nordic Engineering, and Vladimir Bud'ko, Deputy Director General of Dalryba, in the presence of Peotr Savchuk, Deputy Head of Russia's Federal Fishery Agency.

Dalryba has its own fishing fleet and is reportedly interested in its rejuvenation via an application for state support.

Operating in different areas of the Far East Basin, Dalryba catches up to 22,000 tonnes of fish and marine products (including Pollack, herring, flat fish, calmar, salmon, shrimp and crab) each year. Product output is about 17,500 tonnes.
