A newbuild mackerel fishing boat was recently delivered to Jimmy Bjorøy of Bergen, Norway.

Built by Iceland’s Trefjar, the 10.65-metre, 11GT boat has been named Tomina.

The vessel is powered by an FPT C13 387kW main engine connected to a ZF 325 free-standing gearbox. Hydraulically operated front and rear side thrusters have been fitted as well and are connected to the autopilot.

The boat’s navigation suite consists of Simrad and Olex equipment. The fishing equipment includes DNG hand rollers and Rapp nets while the catch is stored in a hold with capacity for fifteen 380-litre tubs.
