Rozema Boat Works of Mount Vernon, Washington, is currently completing construction of three aluminium gillnetters in a series for unnamed Alaska-based owners.

Each vessel will have a draught of just above 30 centimetres, eight refrigerated fish holds, single berths for up to four crew, a galley, and twin Cummins 447kW diesel engines that will deliver a maximum speed of 25 knots at full load.

Rozema said that all three boats are expected to be delivered to their respective owners before the end of May in time for the start of salmon season in Alaska’s Bristol Bay.
