Norwegian fishing company Ervik Havfiske has taken delivery of a new factory longliner from Turkey’s Tersan Shipyard.

The Marin Teknikk-designed Argos Helena measures 60 by 13 metres and was built in compliance to DNV class rules. Power is provided by a Yanmar 6EY26W main engine.

Hauling of catch will be accomplished via a moonpool to help ensure crew safety.

Argos Helena will sail under the UK flag and will be operated in the Southern Ocean, where it will be used to fish for toothfish.
