Austral Fisheries orders multi-purpose vessel
Norway’s Båtbygg shipyard has been awarded a contract to build a multi-purpose fishing vessel for Austral Fisheries.
Designed by Skipstkompetanse, the 66.90-metre by 15-metre Cape Arkona will have a unique capability to alternate between trawling, longlining and lobster trap fishing.
Capable of carrying gear for all three, Cape Arkona is designed to carry a crew of 40 in 26 cabins.
She is scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2020.
