HB Grandi wetfish trawler delivered

A new wetfish trawler, Viðey, has been delivered to Iceland seafood company HB Grandi.

Viðey is the last of a trio of wetfish trawlers that have been built for HB Grandi at Turkey’s Celiktrans Shipyard, which also built HB Grandi’s pelagic vessels Venus and Víkingur.

Viðey is now in the hands of skipper Jóhannes Ellert Eiríksson.

A formal reception for Viðey will be held at Reykjavík on December 22.

The wetfish vessels catch mainly redfish, saithe and cod.
