Russian firm mulling first salmon farm in Far East

Russian farmed salmon producer Russian Aquaculture has confirmed its plans to establish a salmon harvesting facility in Posyet Bay in the Primorsky region.

Once operational, the facility will be the first salmon farm in Russia’s Far East.

The proposed farm will be built on a site that Russian Aquaculture had acquired via lease following a competitive tender process in July 2020.
