Lerøy Midt expands with four fishfarm support vessel newbuilds

Lerøy Midt has upgraded its fleet with no less than four aquaculture support catamarans from Moen Marin last month.

With 57 concessions and significant processing capacity, Lerøy is among the largest food fish producers in Norway. The four boats, all measuring 13.5 metres by 7.5 metres, are set at work at Lerøy Midt’s locations in Central Norway.

Lerøy’s new purchases feature a large working deck, which includes a radio-controlled Palfinger Crane rated at 32 tonne metres. The new buildings are delivered with a power output of 570kW. That, in combination with Nogva gearboxes and a Sleipner bow thruster, provide the required power, precision and flexibility.

The vessels are also equipped with a three-phase unit with 24kW of power, fire detection and fire alarm systems, an Inergen fire extinguisher in the engine rooms and two lifeboats each.
