Loch Duart to invest in salmon feed barges
Scottish fish farm Loch Duart is set to acquire new feed barges which will provide a safer and less labour-intensive means of delivering sustainably-sourced feed to the farm’s salmon.
The chosen feed barges are non-self-propelled concrete vessels in a series to be built by Gael Force Aquaculture of Inverness.
Each barge will have a length of 14 metres, a width of 10.5 metres, and a feed capacity of 150 tonnes.
