Water taxi expansion for Washington DC

USA: The launch of Washington DC’s new transit pier District Wharf will result in new stops and vessels for the local water taxi service as part of the US$2 billion “The Wharf” redevelopment along the Potomac River.

The water taxi system will transport people to and from The Wharf’s transit pier with stops in Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria and National Harbor, with the possibility of a larger network in the future.

The new, low wake vessels will have a capacity of approximately 100 people and will be built in the US.
