K Line and it’s subsidiary KLPL have signed ship building contracts for three VLCCs and two Aframax tankers to continue the company’s fleet upgrading plan.

Orders for two VLCCs were placed by K Line with Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) which will deliver the vessels in 2017 and 2018. The third VLCC will be built by Namura Shipbuilding and will be delivered in 2018.
