BW Offshore has been awarded a five-year contract for the lease and operation of the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel BW Pioneer.
The FPSO will be deployed on the Cascade and Chinook fields in the Gulf of Mexico on behalf of MP Gulf of Mexico (MP GOM), a partnership between US-based Murphy Exploration and Production Company (Murphy EXPRO) and Petrobras America.
The contract also includes an option to extend by another five years.
The firm period commences in direct continuation of the current contract and lasts until March 2025.
