BOOK REVIEW | The Bulk Carrier Register 2019

Edited by Clarksons Research Services

Another massive tome from the six volume series of Clarkson’s annual registers. Like all its brethren, it is unbelievably comprehensive, impressively researched and exceptionally useful.

Superlatives aside, it is a very useful tool for anyone in the shipping business and particularly for those involved with bulk shipping. The book is very appropriate for older users such as your reviewer but, for the youngsters, the same info is available online at www.crsl.com.

If you want or need details of every known ship in the global bulk carrier fleet, this is the book for you. Equally, if you want to know the extent of the fleets and their contact details of the owners of those vessels, they are all here. As also is an excellent overview of the state of the world bulk carrier fleet, its new deliveries, its demolitions, its changes of name and much more.

Invaluable for “bulkies”.

Available from Clarksons Research Services, London, UK.
