Uzmar bags Saam Towage El Salvador tug order

Turkey’s Uzmar Shipyards has been awarded a contract to build two new tugs in a series for Saam Towage El Salvador.

Robert Allan Ltd will design the vessels, each of which will have a length of 32 metres and two Caterpillar 3516C 2,350kW engines that will deliver a speed of 12.5 knots and a bollard pull in excess of 75 tonnes.

Following their delivery in 2021, the tugs will support the LNG project that Energía del Pacífico (EDP) is developing in El Salvador.
