St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office takes delivery of Lake Assault RHIB

The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office of Wisconsin has taken delivery of a custom-built rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) from Lake Assault Boats.

The vessel will be used on law enforcement patrols and waterborne emergency rescues along the St. Croix River, particularly its 43-kilometre stretch that passes through the county of the same name.

The RHIB has a length of 24 feet (7.3 metres), a draught of 21 inches (0.5 metres), two Mercury outboard engines, a personnel and cargo capacity of 3,000 pounds (1,360 kilograms), forward looking infrared (FLIR) cameras, a chart plotter, and sonar with structure and side scan.
