Teekay Offshore order two Aframaxes from Samsung Heavy Industries

In July, Teekay Offshore ordered two LNG-fueled Aframax shuttle tanker from Samsung Heavy Industries, bringing its total number of tankers on order at the yard to six.

These vessels will be based on a design provided by Teekay that incorporates proven technologies to increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, including LNG propulsion technology.

Delivery of the vessels is scheduled for late-2020 and early-2021, respectively.
