Chartwell Marine, Bar Technologies to collaborate on new offshore wind crewboat designs

UK-based naval architecture firms Chartwell Marine and Bar Technologies have begun collaborating on the development of new crewboat designs for customers in the offshore wind market.

The crewboats will range in length from 30 metres to 60 metres and will also include crewboats that could operate as accommodation vessels.

The designs are also expected to feature Bar’s patented foil optimisation and stabilisation system that would help dampen pitch and roll while sailing through rough seas.
