PGS and TGS to conduct joint surveys offshore Canada

Norwegian seismic survey companies PGS and TGS are set to jointly conduct both 2D and 3D multi-client survey projects offshore East Canada.

The North Tablelands 3D survey will cover approximately 5,000 square kilometres and, together with the 2018 Tablelands survey, spans most of the open acreage included in the November 2020 bid round.

Acquisition will be performed by PGS’ Ramform Titan (pictured).

Meanwhile, the Southeast Grand Banks 2019 2D survey will comprise approximately 13,300 kilometres primarily covering open acreage in upcoming bid rounds in South Eastern Newfoundland in 2021 and Southern Newfoundland in 2022.

Acquisition will be performed by Sanco Atlantic.

Both 3D and 2D projects are expected to commence in early June 2019.
