Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings places four-ship order with Italian builder

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) has placed an order for four cruise ships to be built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri.

Two ships will be delivered to Regent Seven Seas Cruises and the remaining pair will be handed over to Oceania Cruises. Deliveries of all four vessels to are scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2029.

The Regent Seven Seas ships will each have capacity for 850 passengers and a gross tonnage of 77,000. The Oceania Cruises newbuildings will be slightly larger, with each having capacity for 1,450 guests and a gross tonnage of 86,000.

Fincantieri has also signed a letter of intent with NCLH regarding the construction of four other cruise ships for delivery between 2030 and 2036. Each ship in this separate order will have a gross tonnage of approximately 200,000 and capacity for 5,000 passengers.

This second agreement between Fincantieri and NCLH is subject to financing and other terms and conditions.
