Marin Teknikk secures design contract for Antarctic longliner

Marin Teknikk has been awarded a contract by an unnamed fishing company for the design of a new freezer longliner capable of operating in Antarctic waters.

The high ice class vessel will have a length of 60.5 metres, a beam of 13 metres, and accommodations for 30 people. It will be equipped primarily to fish for Patagonian toothfish.

Delivery is scheduled for September 2021 upon completion at Tersan Shipyard in Turkey.
