Seaspan Corporation has entered into fixed-rate time charter agreements with Maersk Line for two 2006-built 2,500TEU containerships it has acquired.

The time charters will be for four years, with options for up to an additional two years at increased rates.

Seaspan has taken delivery of one of the vessels and expects the second vessel by the end of the month.

President and Chief Executive Officer Bing Chen said the two additions brought the total Seaspan fleet to 112 vessels.
