US-based Lindblad Expeditions formally named one of its newest ships in a ceremony in Reykjavik, Iceland, on Thursday, July 22.

Built in Norway, National Geographic Endurance has capacity for 126 passengers and Polar Code 5 category A notation.

Lindblad said the vessel’s prominent inverted bow will allow efficient sailings under a wide range of sea conditions, ensuring comfort for all on board.

National Geographic Endurance was delivered to Lindblad in 2020. Its inaugural sailing, however, had been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and will only take place this month.
