Upcoming works include pipeline laying in the Mediterranean and the Norwegian North Sea, windfarm construction in the US, and site characterisation on behalf of a Brunei gas company.

Allseas tapped for Tamar pipeline installation in eastern Mediterranean

Allseas will return to the eastern Mediterranean in the third quarter of 2024 to execute the installation scope for phase one of the Tamar gas reservoir expansion project off the Israeli coast.

Approximately 150 kilometres of pipeline will be installed along with a mix of small and large subsea structures in water depths ranging from 240 to 1,660 metres.

Allseas’ scope also covers the design, fabrication, and installation of two PLETs, four jumpers and 19 crossing structures, installation of umbilicals, and pre-commissioning the pipeline system (flooding, gauging, testing, dewatering and nitrogen purging).

Boskalis secures US windfarm construction project

Boskalis has been awarded a contract to construct a large offshore wind farm off the US coastline.

The project scope includes the transportation and installation of the wind turbine foundations and power cables.

Two crane vessels and several transport and cable-laying vessels will be deployed to serve the project.

Fugro awarded survey contract for Brunei deepwater gas field development

Fugro has secured a contract for site characterisation at the Kelidang Cluster gas field development on behalf of Petronas Carigali Brunei.

The surveys will support the front-end engineering design for offshore production facilities and the pipelines to prospective buyers onshore. Geotechnical and geophysical data will be acquired using various assets including autonomous underwater vehicles and a seafloor geotechnical drill.

The majority of the work will be executed during 2023 in successive phases.

TechnipFMC bags EPCI contract for Aker BP’s Utsira High development

TechnipFMC has been awarded a large integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract by Aker BP for its Utsira High gas development in the North Sea.

The contract brings together three projects that will tie back to the Ivar Aasen and Edvard Grieg production platforms on the Norwegian continental shelf.

TechnipFMC will engineer, procure, construct, and install the subsea production systems, controls, pipelines, and umblicals for the development.
