Aqualiner orders four waterbuses

Aqualiner has signed a contract with Damen Shipyards for four waterbuses to provide public transport services in the Belgian city of Antwerp, as part of a wider transportation programme also including land-based public transport services and road improvement schemes.

Turkish Coast Guard Command accepts new S&R vessel

As part of an agreement between the European Union and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Damen Shipyards has delivered two search and rescue vessels to the Turkish Coast Guard. The two vessels – the first to be delivered in what is a six-vessel contract – will be mobilised in refugee and migrant rescue operations.

Combi Lift orders 19-vessel fleet for Amur gas plant

German heavy lift company Combi Lift has ordered a total of 19 specially customised shallow draught vessels from the Damen Shipyards group. The vessels will be used to transport oversized and heavy lift cargo for Gazprom's gas processing plant project in Amur in the Russian Far East. The multiple vessel order comprises four multi-purpose workboats, four pusher tugs, seven pontoons and four side floaters.
