Russian Navy ends first stage of search for San Juan submarine

Russian Navy specialists have examined all positions required under the first stage of searching for the Argentinian Navy submarine San Juan using a remote-controlled submersible.

They launched the system 12 times and examined the sea bottom at depths of 135 metres to 1,050 metres.

They detected and examined objects, which have been identified as clastic deposits, two trawlers and two concrete blocks.

They will check the serviceability of the Pantera Plus in the Puerto Belgrano port and continue the search operation.
