First of a ferry pair for Fiji

Australia’s Marine Engineering Consultants recently delivered the 26-metre high speed ferry Tiger V to South Sea Cruises in Fiji.

Tiger V is powered by twin Yanmar 6AY-WGT engines with ZF gearboxes, has a maximum speed of 26 knots, and a cruising speed of 23 knots.

She seats 226 passengers over three levels and is the first of two vessels for South Sea Cruises by MEC. Both will run day trips between various Fijian Islands seven days a week.

A full review of Tiger V will appear in the September/October issue of Ausmarine magazine.
