Svitzer awarded Western Australia LNG terminal contract with Woodside

Svitzer Australia has entered into a 10-year contractual arrangement with Woodside Energy for the provision of towage and pilot transfer services at Woodside’s LNG export operations in the Port of Dampier in Western Australia.

Svitzer will provide five modern 80-tonne bollard pull tugs to service the towage needs for the shipping of export LNG cargoes. The company will also provide one new vessel for pilot transfer services to support Woodside and its joint venture operations.

The contract will take effect from the end of 2023.
