STS Leeuwin II docked for maintenance and refit work

STS Leeuwin II, Australia’s largest sail-training tall ship, is a beautiful three-masted 1850s-style barquentine built, owned and operated in Western Australia since 1986 by the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation Limited, a registered Western Australian charity.

The ship has been maintained and serviced by the support and expertise of Western Australians since its first voyage, and is now dry-docked at the Australian Maritime Complex in WA.

The STS Leeuwin II has been docked for planned maintenance, refit and AMSA survey work.  Local companies are providing assistance to the project in support of the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation.

The ship will be transferred to the hardstand area on the Common User Facility and will be onsite for up to 10 weeks.
