November commercial vessel incidents in Australia

In November 2017 a number of incidents involving domestic commercial vessels were reported to AMSA. Of the incidents reported, two were serious:

• A person fell overboard from a passenger vessel. Although the person was recovered from the water, they did not survive.
• A fire broke out in the engine room of a work boat when one of the generators failed. The fire was put out with no injuries to the crew.
