A new hop-on, hop-off ferry service began operations on New South Wales’ Lake Macquarie on Saturday, January 1.

The Lake Mac Ferry service will operate during Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays over the next six months as part of a trial period. Stops include Speers Point, Booragul, Toronto, Belmont, and Wangi Wangi.

The ferry can also accommodate passengers with bicycles, scooters, prams, wheelchairs, and pets that weigh no more than seven kilograms.

Operations on the route are conducted in partnership with the Lake Macquarie Council and Lake Macquarie Cruises.
