Austal Australia has launched the second of six Evolved Cape-class patrol boats that are under construction for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
The 58-metre aluminium monohull vessel was launched following 18 months of construction at Austal's shipyard in Henderson, Western Australia.
Austal said the second Evolved Cape-class boat is one of nine naval vessels that the company will deliver to the Australian Department of Defence within the current year.
