The Australian Government will invest around AU$350 million (US$226 million) for the build program of six new Cape-class patrol boats for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
The 57-metre vessels will be built by Austal Australia at its facilities in Henderson, Perth.
The six new Cape-class boats will grow the RAN's patrol boat force to 16 vessels.
