From Baird Maritime
Given that the organisation behind the publisher of this book does not enjoy the trust or support of Australia's fishing and wider marine industries, it is a rare pleasure to advise that it contains considerable common sense.
While many of its essay writers overly rely on the recently much discredited IPCC reports on global warming and associated rising sea levels, most have resisted the temptation to over-egg that particular omelette. Indeed, some even display a sense of humour which is sadly rare among environmental scientists.
Impressively, one of the essays even includes a full page list of "common errors of judgement and biases that can affect decisions".
Your reviewer knows as well as anyone that you should never judge a book by its cover. Nor, obviously, should you judge it by its publisher! This book, refreshingly, provides the world with a welcome, valuable and well presented addition to the body of knowledge on this very important subject.
