From Baird Maritime:
The sub-title tells us the content but it fails dismally to describe the very high quality of the presentation of this important new addition to the maritime history market.
Basically comprising a series of well-illustrated essays describing a selection of very high quality ship modelling projects, the book includes vignettes of maritime history and an interesting interview with the Director of Britain's National Maritime Museum at Greenwich.
Apart from the histories of the originals of the various vessels described, your reviewer was fascinated by the intricate detail involved in constructing a high quality model ship. He simply would not have the patience to produce such works of art. Those who do can only be admired.
This book presents much that can be so admired.
