From Baird Maritime:

While we do not normally cover yachts in these reviews, your reviewer is well aware that many of our readers own yachts. Some of those yachts are substantial. This is a very substantial book about very substantial yachts.

This is the story of a shipyard, a very special shipyard. Royal Huisman is without any doubt at all the builder of the world's finest sailing yachts.

It is also very much a family business and has remained so throughout five generations and a now lengthy history. While this book's sub-title stresses "individuality", your reviewer associates the word "quality" more closely with Huisman and its yachts.

While the yard built innumerable high quality yachts in the early days, it is the last fifty years that have seen it dominate the global market. Since the 1960s a very significant proportion of the world's most notable racing and cruising yachts have been created by Royal Huisman. Both steel and aluminium, they have ranged from ten to 80 metres in length and from four to more than 1,100 tonnes in displacement.

This brilliant, beautiful book does those superb yachts proud. Its quality reflects a wonderful company and its magnificent products.
