The end of 2014 saw China Shipping and Hyundai Heavy Industries co-host a vessel naming and delivery ceremony in Ulsan, South Korea for the 19,100TEU container ship 'CSCL Pacific Ocean'.
The second vessel of its type, the 400-metre x 58.6-metre x 30.5-metre 'CSCL Pacific Ocean' follows on from the delivery of the first-of-type 'CSCL Globe', which made headlines as the world's largest container vessel, edging out Maersk's Triple E-class.
The 183,800DWT 'CSCL Pacific Ocean' will operate on the Far East – Europe route alongside 'CSCL Globe'.
The sister vessels 'CSCL Arctic Ocean', 'CSCL Atlantic Ocean', and 'CSCL Indian Ocean' will also be delivered in 2015.
