Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (NACKS) has recently held a christening ceremony for the 13,386TEU container vessel 'COSCO Italy'.
The sixth vessel in an eight-vessel series currently being built by NACKS for COSCON Europe – a joint venture between COSCON Shanghai and Fratelli Cosulich – the 'COSCO Italy' measures 366 metres in length overall, with a beam of 52 metres.
Once put into service, the vessel will operate on the COSCON CKYH Joint North Europe Express Service 3 (NE3), with a port rotation consisting of Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Singapore, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
