Tuco Marine has released details of two new dive and ROV support boats.
The boats are optimised to be working platforms for underwater work, and work performed on the surface in support of divers and ROVs. These operations include underwater inspection, investigation, excavation, construction and the maintenance of machinery and structures.
The 14-metre dive support boat features a spacious divers deck with a large canopy. This feature provides protection for the crew from varying weather conditions and can supply sufficient lighting at night to facilitate round-the-clock operations.
The 15-metre version holds the same external features as the 14-metre vessel, but offers the possibility of a closed ROV control room in the deck house.
Both vessels can be delivered with inboard diesels and jet drives or a triple OXE diesel outboard solution. The latter offers extra deck space in addition to space below the aft deck where up to 12 air cylinders can be fitted. For ROV operations the decks are prepared for mounting double davits and A-frames.
