The Discovery Channel will be premiering an eleven-part series called Treasure Quest this June.
Discovery Channel and Odyssey Marine Exploration teamed up to conduct deep-ocean shipwreck exploration. According to the Discovery Channel, there are an estimated over three million shipwrecks on the ocean's floor.
The Odyssey team comprises some of the world's most renowned researchers, deep-ocean marine archaeologists, ROV pilots and technicians, shipwreck artefact conservators and more.
Over the years, Odyssey has been involved in some of the world's most high profiled salvage of shipwrecks. In 2003, it salvaged a shipwreck from the American Civil War and recovered over 50,000 coins and 14,000 artefacts.
