The Safeen Group, the marine arm of the AD Ports Group of the UAE, will take delivery of a new ASD harbour tug from Turkey's Sanmar Shipyards before the end of the first quarter of 2022.
The Robert Allan Ltd-designed tug, which will be named Semaih, is currently under construction at one of Sanmar's facilities. It will be powered by a Caterpillar 3512C engine that will deliver a bollard pull of 50 tonnes.
The new vessel will join three earlier Sanmar-built 32-tonne bollard pull tugs in the Safeen fleet.
