Update: Singapore waters clear after oil spill

Alex Baird

As of June 2, the Traffic Separation Scheme of the Singapore Strait south of Changi, waters in Singapore's Port including the anchorages, around Pulau Tekong and Pulau Ubin, and waters from Changi Naval Base to East Coast Park continue to remain clear of oil patches following the collision between 'Bunga Kelana 3' and 'Waily' on May 25, and the resultant oil spill.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) continues to monitor the waters closely. Response craft remain deployed at sea round the clock to deal with any oil patches that may surface.
