India: The Tamil Nadu Maritime Board (TNMB) has put forward a proposal to develop a minor port in Cuddalore under the PPP mode (private-public-partnership).
The port currently has infrastructure including breakwater, administrative buildings and barge loading and unloading berths.
The TNMB said that due to limitations in funding, it would develop the port ove a 30-year concession period using a "develop, operate, maintain, share and transfer" (DOMST) scheme.
The Board has proposed the development to take place over three phases.
