Australia: The Port Kembla Port Corporation (PKPC) in New South Wales has advised that a revised price schedule will apply as from 1 October 2010.
All statutory port charges will be increased by about five percent and will apply to navigation, pilotage, wharfage and site occupancy services.
There will also be an additional incremental increase in the wharfage charge applicable to grain. PKPC advise that this adjustment will continue over the next five years to a point where it will be comparable to the wharfage rate at other inner harbour berths.
Vessels using the Port Kembla Coal Terminal and BlueScope Steel berths, a revised flat rate per GT for navigation service will apply irrespective of vessel size.
