On behalf of the International Shipping Federation (ISF), Marisec Publications will shortly publish a third edition of its Guidelines on the IMO STCW Convention (including the 2010 "Manila amendments"), incorporating advice on compliance with the new STCW seafarers' rest hour requirements.
The ISF Guidelines have been fully updated to take account of the latest amendments to the IMO Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), agreed at the IMO Diplomatic Conference in Manila in June 2010, and which will enter into force in January 2012.
Publication is expected at the end of February 2011.
