South Korea: Bulk shipping liner STX Pan Ocean has announced that it has won a KRW5.6 trillion (US$5.02 billion) deal from a Brazilian firm to transport wood pulp.
Under the deal with Fibria Celulose, STX Pan Ocean will transport wood pulp to China, Europe and the United States for 25 years starting in 2012, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Fibria Celulose is the world's largest pulp producer.
Last month, STX Pan Ocean also won a KRW500 billion (US$442 million) deal from POSCO, a large South Korean steelmaker, to transport iron ore.
