China's COSCO Shipping Specialised Carriers Group reported operating revenue of CNY14.45 billion ($2.12 billion) for the first half of 2026, up 34.07 per cent from the same period in 2025.
Net profit attributable to shareholders increased 66.24 per cent year-on-year to CNY1.37 billion.
The company expanded its controlled fleet to 206 vessels with a combined capacity of 9.59 million DWT as of June 30.
The fleet comprised 101 owned vessels and 105 operationally leased vessels, with 11 new vessels added during the first half of the year as export demand increased.
Vehicle transportation volumes rose 63 per cent year-on-year to 394,600 units. Pure car carriers transported 333,300 vehicles, while multipurpose vessels fitted with specialised frames carried a further 61,300 vehicles.
In the semi-submersible sector, the 50,000-tonne Xiang Rui Kou completed the relocation of a jack-up drilling platform for COSL AE1.
Another semi-submersible vessel, Xiang Tai Kou, carried out a dynamic positioning float-over installation for a two-gigawatt offshore converter station.
Pulp transportation volumes increased 23 per cent year-on-year during the period, while operating cash flow rose 42.78 per cent to CNY3.75 billion.
