Navibulgar has contracted four firm Bluetech 42-type bulk carriers, plus two options, to be built at China's Hongqiang shipyard.
The Bluetech 42 series of bulker is an innovative eco‐friendly handysize bulk carrier developed by Foreship BlueTech.
The vessel measures 185 metres in length overall, with a beam of 31 metres, a draught of 10.5 metres, and a deadweight tonnage of 42,300DWT.
The vessels will be powered by main engine packages supplied by MAN Diesel and Turbo, with each ice-classed vessel capable of a service speed of 14 knots.
Capable of slow steaming, each vessel will have a capacity of 57,750m3.
